The Heart Attack Kids are a newer entry into the London punk canon, but have wasted no time carving out their place as an important band to watch. The band formed in 2013 and in that short time has released two records (2016’s “No future” and 2019’s “Bad Luck Like Gold”) to positive reception.
The Heart Attack Kids have opened for the likes of Rise Against, Billy Talent, Gaslight Anthem and more. What is particularly unique about the band is that they are not cut out of the same mold as many of their London predecessors. London’s punk scene has always been one that swayed more towards new-wave and progressive influences.
The Heart Attack Kids, on the other hand, pack much more of a punch. Their lo-fi production, frantic instrumentals and heavy vocals create a distinctly grimier sound than most bands to come out of London.
The band started out with just two members, but has expanded to a trio as their sound has evolved. Though their career is young, they’re definitely a band on the rise. Check them out here.
